Alexandra Brueggeman (b. 1997) is an experimental artist, instructor, and curator based in Detroit, MI. Her paintings utilize a background in graphic design with methodologies informed by maritime concerns. She explores the tension of environmental preservation using rigid structural forms in multimedia dreamscapes.
Brueggeman studied at Kendall College of Art and Design (2015–16), earned a BA from Oakland University (2020), and an MFA from Wayne State University (2027). She was selected as an artist-in-residence for Talking Dolls Incubator Residency (Detroit, MI). Her paintings have been included in exhibitions by Midsummer Gallery (New York, NY), PLAYGROUND DETROIT (Detroit, MI), and Public Pool (Hamtramck, MI).
